Reset after a mistake.
Bounce back in seconds instead of stewing on it all game.
Sharpen your skills. Strengthen your mind.
THE MENTAL GAME IS THE MAIN EVENT. Your athlete already gets skills. This is the part that decides whether those skills show up when it counts — how to reset after a mistake, settle the nerves, and stay in love with the game.
That's the whole reason for this clinic.
You know the car ride home. They're quiet in the back seat, or they're in tears — one missed shot, one turnover, and the whole game gets swallowed by it. You want to help, but "you played great" bounces straight off.
Here's what holds a young athlete back, and it's almost never their skill or their effort. It's the stuff going on between the ears — the self-doubt, the comparing, the one mistake that turns into ten. And it's the one part of the game nobody sits them down and teaches.
That's the whole reason for this clinic.
The mental game is the main event.
This isn't a techincal skills camp with a psychology talk bolted on. The mental game is the main event, and the sport is how we teach it — the skills are the vehicle, the mindset is the destination.
Your athlete already gets drills and technique. What almost no one teaches is the part that decides whether those skills actually show up under pressure: resetting after a mistake instead of spiralling, settling the nerves before a big game, backing themselves when it counts. It's the truest determiner of how close they get to their potential — and a big part of why kids stay in the sport rather than quietly drift away.
Mental performance skills they can practise on the pitch, carry into the next game and keep using long after the clinic ends.
Bounce back in seconds instead of stewing on it all game.
Notice their energy and find their own best zone before a big game.
See themselves doing it well before they do it.
Walk off the pitch proud of more than the scoreboard.
They leave with a Mindset Pocket Card — the tools in their kit bag, ready for the next game.
This isn't a clinic just for the rep-team kids. It's for any junior who plays — nervous or confident, been at it for years or just started. Because every one of them has an Olympian inside … it just needs training.

I'm Deb Covey-Barnett — a two-time Olympian and sport psychology coach (MA), and a hockey mum who's watched plenty of kids (mine included) learn these lessons the hard way. I'd love to help yours learn them the fun way.
Peace of mind for parents and clubs: current Working with Children Check, public liability insurance, First Aid and CPR, and full compliance with Victoria's Child Safe Standards.
Want to bring the clinic to your club? It runs as a partnership with zero cost or risk to you.
I bring the full program, equipment and materials — you provide pitch access and an email to your members.
